all i want for christmas
...is more debt.

for years, car makers and credit card companies have tried to convince us that a new (often luxury) vehicle is the perfectchristmas holiday gift.
but with the current global financial uncertainties, coupled with the fragile state of the american automobile industry, i can't help but think that maybe, just maybe, these already unrealistic ads should be tucked away on a shelf this year.
is it just me?

does this mean i'm not getting my Lexus this year?
not for christmas. maybe for valentine's day.
what if i downgrade to a Smart car... you won't have to buy as big of a bow... :)
Oh come on, where's your Christmas spirit? The automakers need a bailout, might as well cutout the middleman (I mean government) and give the money directly to those poor folks.
'Cause, I mean, we've all got a few dozen grand just tucked away in the mattress, right?
