the facts are these...

the other shoe has dropped.

pushing daisies has been canceled.

at least now, i can watch BOTH hours of the biggest loser uninterrupted.

UPDATE: of course, in the light of this story...the cosmic entertainment universe has taken a giant step toward righting itself. with the canceling of one clever and witty show...the pseudo-redemption of another clever and witty (so...naturally, canceled) show looks to be a done deal. funny how that works.

i sympathize. i wasn't a huge fan of this show. but it seems like when ever a show is well written and interesting it gets canceled. Studio 60, Deadwood, Sports Night. it really pisses me off to be honest.

don't worry mike, i'm sure those 2 2-hour movies that are supposed to wrap up the Deadwood story are gonna be great...whenever they make them...which is going to be any day now.

no no no no no!!! i love that show and it stinks that it's gone. it's one of the few shows that i love! i think it's a bunch of bs when they say they want new and creative shows and then they cancel them!

Aw, dangit.

You think it's a conspiracy to quickly cancel a great show like Pushing Daisies & Firefly, for the only reason of making the film two or three years down the road at the fans' behest?

Neither do I.

Don't worry Eric. I'm sure a quality reality TV show about people really trying to raise the dead and the comedy that ensues will be right around the corner to replace Pushing Daisies.

"the ratings for last night's Daisies episode were the series' worst-ever numbers in the key 18-49 demographic."

With the way television viewing has changed, how can the networks be so sure that these "ratings" are accurate anymore?

And let me ask THIS question...do the people that watch Wife Swap actually have any disposable income to spend on the advertisers that are so interested in how many people are watching? (Sorry. Low Blow. Apologies to anyone on here that, uh, watches that show).

good thoughts, dave. and please, don't EVER feel the need to apologize to anyone who watches 'wife swap.' especially in this place.
