how did i miss this?

usually i am all over it when something comes out that blatantly rips off something else.

it's only a big deal to me, so i expect no comiseration, but i have to be true to myself:

that's all.

didn't one of the tomb raider posters and the nicholas cage "there's a treasure map on the back of the constitution" movie do the same thing?

So...a centrally placed backlit figure in the middle of the poster art is something that can only ever be done once?

Nope, no commiseration here. There are others which have been pointed out to me in the past which have been much more blatant ripoffs, but conveniently I can't think of any at the moment...

when they are the consecutive number one movies in the country, it's noticable. not saying they copied off each other, i just find it humorous that they exist at the same time.

and it's not just the figure. it's the color. the shape. everything about it.

i don't know, i expect a little creativity out of the firms that come up with these posters, that is all. not this type of laziness.

as a photographer the pics look the same compositionally as well as the color tones. to the eye they are the same image.
