cleaning house
i'm in the middle of one of those "only-cade" type projects (backing up my blog in text format in preparation for the next time that blogger decided to erase some/all of it) and i have come across some real gems that have been lying unnoticed for months.
i'm not referring to my actual posts, i would never be that egotistic, but rather the swarms of blog-spam that have found their way into some of my comment sections LONG after the post has gone by the wayside.
there are some benefits to having never installed word verification.
here are some of the more amusing ones:
road trip
tv guide
new years = surfing (?)
and my personal favorite:
the dog people
i don't know...i think it's funny.

Hey Cade!
How do you get your blog to look so good?
well, it's not easy. but, first, you...wait. i see what you're doing.
dude that one on dog people...priceless.
no comments from the juicy fruiter though?
juicy fruiter is in there somewhere. like i said, these were just my favorites.
wtf on the surf board deuche?
you didn't just get spammed you got spammmmmmmmmmmed by that joker.
man that was funny shiznit
you have good content. congratulations. you should check out my blog. it is about termlife insurance.
way to go, yours, deuche bag.
The real question is where can I find surfboards for dogs that can play roulette?
that road trip response to miss st. louis was a real pick me up.
It took me like over two hours to craft that post...good writing takes time as I'm learning every damn day
thanks for the memories
I had to laugh at the surfboard ones. They were actually fairly decently crafted, if only: 1) They didn't post 800 of them in a row on the same post, and 2) It had nothing whatsoever to do with the post. *sigh* Still, the self-awareness irony of them was spam-writing genius.
But wait, you happened upon these while archiving your blog? So instead of choosing not to archive them and just pretend they never existed, you post links to them which will then need to be archived in perpetuity?? That may be the most "only-cade" factor about this whole thing...
I'm still surprised you get any comment spam, even without the graphic verification. Blogger was supposed to help discourage that with the rel="nofollow" tag. But I guess you have to do that yourself on custom templates, et al.
You know, my website on lion-taming doesn't get blog comment spam, because it only sells lion-taming and lion-taming kind of stuff and is not a blog.
Love ya, guy.
dones man,
i was so hoping that you had actually created a lion taming site.
that was pretty well done though, i have to admit.
