The Royals were ahead last I heard...which means they'll blow it. Dramatically.
well, they almost did. giving up 6 in the 8th. but then they miraculously scored 2 in the 9th and held the lead. as a great man once said "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while."
i think it's funny how jerry and don (as well as other announcers here) continually act surprised that the royals are capable of playing well.
it's like i've said all season: yes, they are terrible, but that is only confounded by the fact that they play in the toughest division in baseball. they would still be bad, but they would win more games playing more in other divisions.
that said, jimmy gobble should never touch a ball in a royals uniform again...ever.
