there comes a time

it's been a wild ride.

after 18 crazy, tumultuous, eye-opening, thought-provoking, wonderful, at times deafening, at times silent, educational, joyous, frustrating and utterly amazing months, everyone's favorite local record store has officially* closed its doors.

we would like to extend a hearty thank you to all the regulars, the silent partners, the suppliers, the general supporters and the loiterers. it has truly been a blessing.

but, as with all things, it is time for this vagabond to move on.

we will continue to kick around this place** if you ever need anything.

keep on rockin', kids. keep on rockin'.

* - it's not OFFICIALLY official, but it pretty much is

** - i will be uploading about 1,000 more cds in the next weeks/months as i make the transition. so check in often.

WHAA...man. Ahh, I was sooo looking forward to visiting vagabond during my Boston trek 07.

Don't suppose you can keep it open another 2 weeks?

Proud that you put your foot out and took a chance.

If there's any vagabond t-shirts left, save me one. I'll buy it.

b- i thought about that. the store will more or less be intact (minus the electricity) when you are out here. no worries. it just won't be "open" per se.

mike and jeff- i appreciate the thoughts.

there are no straight up "vagabond" shirts left. but i do have some extra blanks and letters and could probably throw a couple together in the next few weeks.

let me know if you want anything fancy on them.

Eric and I are going to be in Boston for a few days in June as he has a work conference there. We were just saying that it would be fun to see your store...I guess we'll settle for just seeing you! We'll send more details later.
