it's march 1st
the snow is melting.
the days are getting longer.
and the sound of basketball is in the air.
let the madness begin.

thanks the Lord Gerry McNamara is no longer playing college basketball.
i'm with you...i'm totally mad
I absolutely LOVE the month of March : ) My poor children...always bummed to see a basketball game on rather than Dora. I figure if I put up with Dora all year long, they can give me a few weeks : )
Ky
sorry ky, i love dora and all, but your girls are getting old enough to start appreciating the game. and if they are getting upset about watching a basketball game...well, how can i put this delicately...it might be time for a trade in.
just a thought.
I think it goes without saying that it is also my favorite month/time of year. I am so pumped right now.
Anyone catch the A&M/Texas game last night? Obviously we Jayhawks had a rooting interest, but I'm not sure I've been that excited/on edge about a game that didn't involve KU in a long time.
And James, Acie Law IV is the new Gerry McNamara...thankfully he's a senior. I can't believe the guy...hits the game winning 3 against us, hits a GUARDED game tying 3 against Texas last night, then hits another 3 to tie it to get into the 2nd OT. Unfreakinbelieveable.
10 days till selection Sunday
14 days till Round 1
Smile on my face
dave,
i'm not sure that james is referring to gerry mac as a player, but rather in respect to the "curse" he inflicted on KU.
you will have to ask james for the details.
i actually didn't make it much past halftime last night. for the first time in my life, my job (coupled with the fact that i have been moving this week) has me feeling old.
it sucks.
Dave,
I caught most half, and then all of the 2OT. Yes, Gerry McNamara in aiding the Orangemen to the 2003 NCAA title over the Jayhawks, firmly establish what i will call "the curse of Gerry McNamara," which subsequently brought us to our demise over the next 3 years. I will elaborate on a future post.
dave,
that game was really good. Acie Law IV is good, but holy fuck that Durrant(sp?) kid wasn't to bad for an 18 year old.
Ky, i am with cade, trade those kids in.
what i'm looking forward to:
living with not One, but Two baskball lovers during this time of year...
Chips and Guacamole will flow like Milk and Honey...
don't forget the salsa. :)
