I thought they only made movies into musicals when the movie was actually good.

Like the Lion King.

And Planet of the Apes.

i rail about this shit, but is it really more annoying than rodgers and hammerstein? i doubt it.

i'm still waiting for billy madison: the musical or clerks: a musical comedy.

yes but (and this is a big but cause you know i hate them) at least r & h occasionally (i stress occasionally) wrote something original.

let's see:

-movies based on tv shows.
-musicals based on movies.
-tv shows based on other tv shows.

yep, i pretty much hate this whole "entertainment" blackhole we've found ourselves in.

Come on, I'm sure you can't wait for the musical based on the movie version of the reality TV series about the One Red Paperclip guy.

I know I can't. I'm too busy waiting for a remake of 'Xanadu', though it'll no doubt suck. (Let the jokes fly!)

Oh, and my wife is waiting for the announced-but-not-yet-materialized 'The Last Unicorn' live-action remake.
