"start spreading the news...
...i'm leaving today."
tentatively, the title of this post has always been reserved for the mass email that i was going to send out coinciding with the announcment of my triumphant move to new york city. but, seeing that i never made that move and the likelyhood of ever doing so is waning, i decided to use it here and now to let you all know that i will be back on sunday night after a jam-packed weekend in the "city that never shuts up."
dr james, brooke and i are off to new york for some fun and craziness. pictures and stories upon our return i'm sure.
play nice while we're away. word.

does this translate to: party at art's place??
My husband and I totally cracked up when we read, "the city that never shuts up." We've only been there once, for 24 hours, 16 of which we spent awake. And I have never heard a better way of describing the city. My favorite: St. Patrick's Cathedral and the site of the World Trade Center Towers, when there was still a lot of construction going on, half of a tribute center, some buildings still halfway wrecked but still standing, and the trees without leaves, still caked in dust-all seen at midnight.
