boys of summer

i guess i should say congrats to the *gulp* chicago white sox for winning their first world series in 278 years, or how ever long it's been. so congrats.

here are two things i will take from this victory, one good. one bad:

1) former royal jermaine dye drove in the decisive win in last night's 1-0 win. it is so good to see him back in top form and playing as well as he did before being traded from KC to oakland. he was loved as a royal, and i am happy for him.

2) frank thomas gets a championship ring. he played what, 30 games this year? in april? yeah he has every right to gloat about that. great, you "won." now retire.
