DUBAI (Reuters) - The al Qaeda group in
Iraq on Sunday hailed the hurricane deaths in America as the "wrath of God," according to an Internet statement.

"God attacked America and the prayers of the oppressed were answered," said the statement, which was posted on an Islamic Web site often used by the insurgent group fighting the U.S.-backed Iraqi government.

in a related story, president bush has officially announced that hurricanes are now to be considered "instruments of terror." the white house released, in a statement tuesday, that any country harboring natural disasters will be dealt with as a natural disaster. it was unclear if all natural disasters were now on the international watch list, or if it applied soley to hurricanes and tropical storms. there is, however, an uncomfirmed report that a wild fire in arizona was recently added to the federal "no-fly" list. representatives for the fire declined an invitation to comment.

there is growing concern among washington insiders over the fact that both north korea and iran have been known associates of the "axis-of-evil-weather," as it is now known, in the past decade. when asked if prominent earthquakes found hiding in iran would lead to any kind of military action, one unnamed source had this to say:

"It was only a matter of time before we were able to link these evil countries to terrorism. Now, we have the proof we need."

readers, consider yourselves informed.
