I sincerely hope that the four of you started waving the wheat and chanting ROOOOOOCK CHAAAAAAAALK for the last minute and a half of the game! I'm just glad the game wasn't close so that BC fans didn't have to witness four people holding hands and praying for the Hawks (or does that only happen in March?).

a few things:

1) BC fans are LAME. it was like a high school game. no tradition. no student involvement.

2) i would say that 1/3 of the arena was jayhawk fans. we travel well.

3)the rock chalk was chanted, the wheat was waved.

4) did i mention that BC fans are lame?

it's really eye-opening when you travel to another team's arena to see KU play...I went to CU twice and saw the exact same thing...uninvolved fans and so many KU faithful that any advantage of being a home game is negated

We are so, so, SO lucky to have the tradition and student involvement, which is probably why we are AWESOME!

That said, nothing beats chanting Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU at a visitor's arena!

Dude, seriously. There was almost nothing exciting about the BC atmosphere. Even the cheerleaders were lame. Brooke at one point stated, "Dude, the cheerleaders at my high school were better than this."

*Half time - lame
*Timeouts - lame
*BC Band - only 15 members playing poorly selected tunes
*Start of the game - still empty seats, with fans walking in 17 minutes into play.

Nothing beats the jumbotron flashing "MAKE SOME NOISE" with fans doing absolutely nothing, and also flashing "WAVE YOUR TOWELS" with only an eighth of the house doing anything remotely like a towel wave.

Was great to introduce Brooke to a live game though!

I was actually wondering if any of you Boston boys were at the game. I don't get to go much anymore to the games, but got to go earlier this year. Nothing like going to a game at the Field House. However it has changed a bit over the past few years. Rock Chalk!

PS one of my employees gave Christy and I a late birth gift for our new son Klaus. She is actually a MU grad, and she gave us a bib that has a picture of Coach Mangino, and the quote underneath says "our coach can eat your coach." I've seen it on shirts, but not on a baby's bib.
